Teiou-Shiboku ( 帝王紫墨 ) is made by adding purple pigment extracted from plants to rapeseed oil soot.

Purple has been prized as a noble color since ancient times.

The color of the ink is a soft, bright purple-indigo.

It is suitable not only for calligraphy but also for ink painting.
