This Kobaien original plastic file folder — 漱石梅, "Soseki's plum" — carries an image of plum blossoms in spring alongside a haiku by the celebrated Japanese writer Natsume Soseki, who once wrote of catching the scent of ink in a plum blossom and being carried, in that instant, back to Kobaien in the old capital of Nara.
At 220mm x 310mm, it's a small, everyday way to keep that literary moment close, whether holding sketches, letters, or notes — a quiet nod to the ink house that once moved a great writer to verse.
