This letter writing set carries something you won't find on ordinary stationery: an illustration of Kobaien's own ink-making process, printed onto the paper itself, showing how the workshop's soot and glue came together in the old days.
The set is made from washi with good ink extension, meaning it takes a brush and sumi as readily as a pen — a natural fit if you already grind Kobaien ink for painting or calligraphy and want a way to bring that same ink into something more personal than practice sheets.
Each set includes writing paper measuring 258mm x 190mm and a matching envelope at 220mm x 100mm, sized for a proper handwritten letter rather than a quick note.
