Beniiri takes its name from Beni (べに), saffron, and Iri (入り), contained within — a rapeseed oil smoke ink with a touch of saffron worked in to deepen and enrich the black.
It's made specifically for e-tegami, the Japanese tradition of illustrated postcards, where a single small stick needs to carry real character across a compact format.
