Product information

Tenchochikyu — 天 (ten, sky) 長 (cho, long) 地 (chi, land) 久 (kyu, endless) — takes its name from an old Chinese idiom meaning "as enduring as heaven and earth," an image of permanence that outlasts any single lifetime.

Made from rapeseed-oil soot and fine glue, it spreads beautifully across the page: an elegant black at full strength, a strangely three-dimensional black when thinned.

Easy to grind and well suited to large-format work, it's a stick built for pieces meant to last.
