Until now, orders shipped within the United States were delivered under a system where customs duties and processing fees were collected separately, after the package arrived.
Because the final amount wasn't known at the time of purchase, we understand this uncertainty may have made some of you hesitant to order. In fact, one customer wrote to us: "I didn't place an order for Kobaien products because I have no idea how much tariffs and processing fees I have to pay when the products get shipped to my address in the US. Too much unknown information and uncertainty to worry about."
We've listened, and we've changed how we ship.
Going forward, the amount you pay at checkout already includes all duties and taxes.
This means:
- The amount you pay at checkout is the final amount — nothing more.
- There are no additional charges when your package arrives.
- You no longer need to worry about how much duty you'll owe.
In addition, we've changed our domestic US carrier. Deliveries will now be handled by USPS instead of UPS, for a more reliable delivery experience.
