Rougou — 高級狼毫筆, a fine weasel-hair brush — is built for more than paper.

Its durability is such that Buddhist monks reach for this same kind of brush to write on wooden stupa boards, a use that asks real toughness of a tip most brushes couldn't survive.

One customer, new to it, called it lovely and remarkably light, already planning to use it for both painting and writing, and reinforcing the base of the hairs with a wrap of dental floss tape for extra care.
