Konpeki takes its name from Kon (紺), indigo, and Peki (碧), azure — a bluish black built specifically with curved letterforms in mind.
Made from oil smoke, it's suited to writing full of flowing, rounded strokes, where the ink's particular tone helps a line hold its character through every turn and loop.
It comes in two sizes, 1.5 at 24.1×90.7×11mm, 37g, and 3.0 at 29.3×111.3×14.4mm, 70g, so you can choose a compact stick for everyday practice or a larger one for longer pieces.
The name itself, drawn from two shades of blue, hints at the subtle color this ink carries within its blackness — a quiet, considered choice for anyone whose writing leans toward curves rather than sharp angles.
