Houryu — 鳳 (hou, a divine phoenix) 龍 (ryu, dragon) — pairs two of the most auspicious creatures in East Asian myth in a single name, and the ink lives up to it: oil-smoke soot and fine glue, refined through Kobaien's long years of practice into a black that stays moist and calm at full strength, and softens into a gentle brown when thinned.

It doesn't chase drama — just a steady, well-mannered ink that holds its composure whether you're laying down a deep, saturated stroke or working through the palest of washes.
