Hitotsu Kame — 一つ (hitotsu, one) 亀 (kame, turtle) — is made from a special oil smoke chosen specifically to bring out bluish black, giving a softer, gentler shade than most bluish inks tend toward.
A quiet, unassuming stick, well suited to those who want a bluish black that leans understated rather than dramatic — steady enough for everyday practice, with just enough colour to keep the ink from ever reading as flat.
