Chiyomi Tanaka is a brush craftswoman based in Nara, Japan, who handcrafts each brush herself from natural materials — carving the handle, attaching the bristles, and trimming the brush by hand to create a piece that's uniquely her own.

We are her only authorized international distributor, working directly with her to bring her brushes to calligraphers and painters outside Japan.
