U.S. Customs may charge import duties, taxes, and other import-related fees upon arrival.
These costs are not included in our shipping charges. Since 2025, all imports from Japan to the USA are subject to a 15% baseline tariff (a tax imposed by the government on imported goods), calculated on the item's value excluding shipping costs.
Recipients must pay this tariff along with any applicable state taxes, which vary by location and product category.
A tariff is a tax imposed by a government on goods imported from other countries.
For example, if you purchase a $10 item from a Japanese online store, you must pay an additional $1.50 to the U.S. government as import duty, which is 15% of the $10 purchase price. If you buy two $10 items, the import duty would be = $3 ($10 x 15% x 2).
