Product information

Shouen — 松 (Shou, pine) 煙 (En, smoke) — is made from pine tree oil smoke and suited to e-tegami, the Japanese tradition of hand-painted illustrated letters.

One customer, Roslyn Levin, called the colour a mysterious purple-blue, and simply beautiful — a soot-born tone that carries none of the flatness of an ordinary black, ready to bring an illustrated letter quietly to life.
