    This brush is handmade by Chiyomi Tanaka, a brush craftsman living in Nara, Japan. She handcrafts her brushes from natural materials.

    Lacto is a resin made from milk protein. It is used for the brush shaft of this brush.

      Great brush

      Weighted brush, beautifully crafted, the brush absorbs ink well and the marks left are expressive and thoughtful. The white of the brush accents the liver red of my ink stone and is a wonderful contrast against ink whilst painting. Will be buying more of her brushes in the future - thank you.
