Product information

Kousei — 高 (kou, high) 清 (sei, pure) — means simply "noble" or "best" in Japanese, a name earned by belonging to Shitsuboku, the grade held to be the finest of all Kobaien inksticks.

Made from top-quality canola-oil soot, it darkens into a shining, pure black at full strength, and softens into a warm brownish black when thinned.

A stick built for the moments when nothing less than the very best will do.
