This sumi ink stick was made of superfine rapeseed(canola) oil smoke and vintage Chinese glue.
This inkstick has aged nicely. It grinds easily on the inkstone, and the ink solution spreads well.
Production Year: 1975
It was named after a pine garden that is said to have existed in the Yubi Mountains ( 隃麋山 ) in China long ago. In the old days, ink was made from pine trees, and the pine trees of Mount Yubi are synonymous with ink.
