Dai Zuihu — 大 (dai, big), 瑞風 (zuihu, lucky wind) — is a soft, mixed-hair brush by Chiyomi Tanaka one of only seven certified brush artisans working in Nara today and the only woman among them to be profiled by The New York Times Style Magazine.
Blended from wool, horse tail, and tanuki hair, with a relatively long tip, it's suited to both running script (gyōsho) and block script (kaisho) — a brush that carries its name well, moving with the same ease as a lucky wind through a line of writing.
