A mixture of titanium dioxide and Gofun ( 胡粉 ) , hardened with natural glue.

( 胡粉 ) is a white paint for Japanese-style painting made from the shells of oysters, clams, and scallops. Its main ingredient is calcium carbonate, which is characterized by its fine particles and smooth, matte texture.
